to expand
We have a thriving tailoring business with 10 apprentices operating out of our rented shop. We also host 70+ kids every week for Story Club from the same premises. We simply can't fit so we meet outside if it's not raining.
We recently purchased a plot of land 1 mile away from the shop for the purpose of creating more space for people to experience the Kingdom of God.
The 100ft x 100ft plot is currently empty and we are just needing funds to proceed with this exciting project.
The building would also contain spaces for workshops and learning spaces. This would enable the production and training of the apprentices to move here, freeing up the tailoring shop to continue to function as a display room with more space to host customers well.

Our vision is to create a training centre to host the Story Club kids and expand and improve our provision for children in the area. We currently have a large group of kids aged 3-14 years all together in one group which is challenging and is causing some of the older ones to stop coming.

We want to build a playground on a quarter of the plot. The nearest playground is more than 4 miles away and isn't free.
We intend to make most of the meeting rooms very flexible to allow for different sized gatherings. Currently, we don't have an adequate gathering space for adults. We have a passion to reach those who aren't part of a church, especially those who work 7 days a week and don't feel they can afford to take a day off to go to a church.
We would also like to finish the building to a high spec, allowing the spaces to be rented out as a conference centre and thus creating a small income stream.

When built, the1st floor will yield more space for training and business, possibly even acting as a business hub for entrepreneurs and startups. The 2nd floor will provide a larger space for bigger gatherings.
It is envisaged that this project will need to be completed in stages. We intend to dig deep foundations to allow a 3 storey building to be built.
The first multi-part stage will see us preparing the site, building the foundations, landscaping the site and building the majority of the ground floor building, which can be extended when more funds are available. We anticipate it will cost £60-80K to complete the first phase and allow us to use the premises. The later phases could be completed when funds are available.
